Mr. George Leonard Baker, age 85 of Bethpage, TN, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019.

Funeral Services for Mr. Baker will be conducted on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM from Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. James Crabtree officiating.  Interment will follow in Whitley Cemetery, Red Boiling Springs, TN.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Woodard Funeral Home.


Mr. Baker was a member and deacon of Grace Baptist Church.  He was a retired self-employed Leather Crafter for 38 years.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by:
Mother - Hazel Baker,
Foster Parents - Maudie and Alfred Rice,
Brother - Garrett Reins

Mr. Baker is survived by:
Beloved Wife of nearly 64 years - Annie Louise Summers Baker, Bethpage, TN
Son - Leonard Wade & (Doris) Baker, Clarksville, TN
Daughter - Lorena & (James) Silcox, Westmoreland, TN
Son - George David & (Christy) Baker, Bethpage, TN
Daughter - Janie & (Wayne) Wilson, Bethpage, TN
As well as two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren

We were neighbors years ago in Turners Station. Leonard, Lorena and I used to hang out some. Lorena and I graduated WHS together. The Bakers are good people. May God give you peace during this time.
