Beatrice Inez Carter

Ms. Beatrice Inez Carter, (better known as Bea Bea) age 87 of Westmoreland, TN, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 guidelines, there will be a private family graveside service on Sunday, April 5th at 1:30 PM from Sumner Memorial Gardens with Bro. Dean Sircy officiating. The family request that anyone who wants to be a part of Ms. Carter's service, may feel free to follow in the funeral procession to the cemetery leaving at 1PM from the funeral home. Once you arrive at the cemetery, everyone, except family, are ask to stay in their vehicles. Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented and difficult time.

Beatrice was born on Saturday, April 23, 1932 to Louis and Sarah Clio Adcock. She was the 4th of 10 children born to this union. Much of her early years were spent in the Bransford Community of Sumner County, TN. On June 30, 1951 she married the love of her life, Wesley Guy Carter. Two loving daughters were born to this union, Linda Carol and Deborah Gay.
Beatrice, aka, "Mama Bea" loved her family. She devoted much of her time to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her door was always open and the table was always full. Mama Bea loved the Lord and was an active member of Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church. She was retired from Texas Boot Company in Hartsville, TN with over 30 years of service. After retirement she developed a love for quilting and that love quickly turned into a passion as she made hundreds of quilts for family and friends.

Mama Bea loved mother nature and God's beauty. she loved birds and flowers, and for those that knew her, knew that the Great Smoky Mountains was her favorite vacation spot. Many times she would travel with family and friends for an extended weekend or sometimes just a day trip to see the color of the trees.

Grand Daughter - Noel Spalding Phillips
Brothers - Leonard Adcock, Raymond "Buck" Adcock, and Kenneth Adcock
Sister - Margaret Robertson
Son-in-law - Leon Napier

Grand Child - Trena Napier & (Ben) Bray
Grand Child - Stacey Napier & (Teddy) Brawner
Grand Child - Lindey Napier & (Brandon) Clark
Grand Child - Starla Spalding & (Ricky) Blackwell
Sisters - Sarah Escue, Judy Hughes, Wanda Faye Johnson, and Norris Hammock
Brother - Aaron Adcock
Grandson-in-law - Jason Phillips
As well as 6 great-granddaughters and 8 great-grandsons
