Allene Linville

Mrs. Allene Carter Linville, age 90, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away January 31, 2026. She was born May 3, 1935 to the late Homer Carter and Viola Smith in Westmoreland, TN.

In addition to her parents, Homer and Viola, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Homer Junior, Donald Ray, Margaret Francis and Myrtle Ruth.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jay Linville; her son, Jason Linville; her brother, Bobby Joe; and her sister, Patty Jean.

Mrs. Linville was saved by the grace of God, and she was baptized in Dutch Creek and became a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Linville was a cosmetologist for several years in the 50's and 60's in Indiana.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.  She lived a full life and did not suffer long in the end.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linville will be conducted on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11AM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, February 4th from 12:30PM till 4PM and again on Thursday, February 5th from 10AM till service time at 11AM at Woodard Funeral Home.
