Arcie Albert Gant

Mr. Arcie Albert Gant, age 90, of Franklin, KY, passed away on November 26, 2022. He was born July 30, 1932 in Scottsville, KY to the late Andy Webster and Etta Demore Stinson Gant.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gant was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Lillie Marie Gant.

He is survived by his son, Ronnie Gant; his daughters, Vickie (Kevin) Newlin and Sherry (Wayne) Abernathy; his seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; as well as two of his grandsons and their wives who were an important part of his life, Christopher (Dayna) Stanley and Andrew (Lauren) Abernathy.

Arcie retired from the Metro Public Works in 1987, where he worked for 35 years. He was a Shriner and a member of the Ionic Lodge #254 for 50 years.

He will be dancing in Heaven with his beloved wife again.

Funeral services for Mr. Gant will be conducted on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11AM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Brandon Hartman officiating. Interment will follow in the Rippy Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Andrew Abernathy, B.J. Binion, Ricky Grubbs, Jerry Faulton, Zach Binion and Justin Grubbs.  Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Terry Calvert.  The family will receive visitors on Thursday, from 9AM-service time at 11AM at Woodard Funeral Home.
