Carol Dean Wilkerson

Ms. Carol Dean Cates Wilkerson, age 85, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away February 1, 2024.  She was born May 13, 1938 to the late Thomas Vernon Cates and Vangie Lee Anglea Cates in Sumner County, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Wilkerson; her sisters, Mary Frances White, and Minnie Ewing Troutt; her brothers, George Cates, Donald Ray Cates, Collins Cates, Jimmy Cates, John Lewis Cates, Rusty Cates, Billy Cates, Harold Cates and Larry Cates.

She is survived by her children David (Shelia) Wilkerson, Rita (Jimmy) Miller and Tracy (Joe) Carter; her grandchildren, Sheilana Wilkerson, Dusty Miller, Daniel Wilkerson, Mindy Haskins and Luke Carter; and her great-grandchildren, Keaton, Katie, Maelyn and Lyla.

She owned and operated with her family, Westmoreland Florist for many years. She was a member of New Vision Church.

Funeral services for Ms. Wilkerson will be conducted on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at 2PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Don Key officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.  Serving as active pallbearers will be Jimmy Miller, Joe Carter, Daniel Wilkerson, Dusty Miller, Luke Carter, Keaton Haskins and Matt Haskins.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, February 3rd from 1PM till 8PM and again on Sunday, February 4th from 10AM till service time at 2PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
