Elder Benton Ray Veatch, age 83 of Westmoreland, TN, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019.

Funeral Services for Eld. Veatch will be conducted on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:00 PM from Gloryway Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bubba Case and Bro. Hunter Johns officiating. Interment will follow in Willard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Veatch, Jonathon Pollard, Joshua Pollard, Ronnie Veatch, Rod Veatch, Steve Veatch, PeeWee McCall, Hunter Sullivan and Frankie Johns. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Rodes, Glenn Sullivan, Clay Moore and Preacher Blankenship.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Gloryway Missionary Baptist Church, Westmoreland, TN and on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gloryway Missionary Baptist Church.

On July 4th at 17 years old, Benton was saved by the grace of God. 29 years later he joined Cedar Bluff Missionary Baptist Church. He was called to preach in 1974, and then ordained at New Design Missionary Baptist Church. After being ordained, he went on to pastor 2 missionary baptist churches, Gloryway and Pleasant Grove. He sang in a gospel group for 25 years. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.

Loving wife of 56 years - Linda Sue Farley Veatch, Westmoreland, TN
Sister - Ida Mae Veatch McCall
Son - Donald R. & (Linda) Veatch
Daughter - Donna Sue Veatch & (Johnnie) Pollard
Grand Child - Jason & (Amanda) Veatch
Grand Child - Jonathon Pollard
Grand Child - Joshua Pollard
Great Grand Children - Madison and Kaylee Veatch and Peyton Pollard
Brother-in-law - Glenn Sullivan
Friend - Herman Moss (thought of as a brother)
As well as numerous nieces and nephews
