Franklin D. Roosevelt Brown

Mr. Franklin D. Roosevelt Brown, age 93, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on May 24, 2026, at Highpoint Health - Sumner Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Brown was born in Sumner County, TN on November 27, 1932 to the late Luby Lewis Brown and the late Lula Mae McCormick. Mr. Brown enjoyed working on his farm and raising cattle. Mr. Brown served on the Board of County Commissioners for Sumner County, District 1 from 1989 - 1991. He was also part owner, with his brothers, of Brown Brothers Garage and Westmoreland Auto Parts for many years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Alice Faye Brown; his parents, Luby Lewis Brown and Lula Mae McCormick; his sisters, Eunice Borders, Evelyn Akins and Rosie Mae Brown; and his brothers, Grover Brown, Fred Brown and Coley Brown.

The Graveside service for Mr. Franklin Brown will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Providence Cemetery, 1100 Keen Hollow Rd., Westmoreland, TN with Dr. Alec Kyle Cort, Chaplain with Highpoint Hospice, officiating.
