Garland Edward Flatt

Mr. Garland Edward Flatt, age 79, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Bethpage, TN. He was a US Army veteran and worked as a mechanic for Bell South, South Central AT&T. 

Ed is survived by his wife, Valinda Flatt; children, Corey Flatt, Stacey, Paula East, Scott Rittenberry (Tonia), Stacey Holland and Debbie Mullier; his brothers, Walter Flatt (Florence) and Steve McGuire (Lisa); and his Thirteen Grandchildren.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Bessie Flatt; his siblings, Billy James Flatt, Sue Gordon and Irene Hartill; son, Brian Kelly and his granddaughter, Sarah Flatt.

The graveside service for Mr. Garland Edward Flatt will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Butler Cemetery, Jackson Co. TN with Bro. Bobby Reynolds and Bro. Larry Henson officiating.

The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one.
