James Martin Finn, age 52, finally decided to quit driving his family crazy and went to sit on a higher porch on March 31, 2026. A true redneck, devoted dad, and "Papaw". James passed away surrounded by family, probably listening to Hank Jr.
James is survived by his wife, Felicia Finn; his children, Chris Jones, Dillian Jones, Kayla Finn, Hailey Finn and Serena Finn; daughter-in-law, Amber Jones; sons-in-law, Robert Collins and Bryan Kirkland; his grandchildren, Ellia Jones, James Jones, Brendan Jones. Lillie Jones, Jolene Jones, Maleigha Finn, Marleigh Holben, Emberleigh Finn, Mahaleia Finn, James Finn, Kanyun Rumley, Logan Rumley,Aiden Rumley, Bryson Rumley, Hazel Horton, Kaylee Horton and Travis Morgan; his sisters, Linda Anderson and Penny Finn; his brothers, Gary Finn and Billy Huff (Cindy); brothers-in-law, George Anderson, David Chandler and Wayne Childress (Ashley); best friend, Mike Briley; Loyal Best Friend, Merle; his grand dogs, Shiddie, Hubby, Nana & Chopper; as well as several nieces and nephews, who he loved fiercely.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Jean Finn; sister, Vicky Finn; paternal grandparents, Ed and Nellie Finn; and maternal grandparents, John Cummins and Evelyn Williams; and his mother-in-law, Norma Wilson.
He was a man who sugar-coated absolutely nothing could, he would fix anything with duct tape and WD-40. He loved outlaw country music & Ryan Upchurch. His biggest pride and joy was his family. He never slowed down until the end, fiercely protecting his people
The family led service for Mr. James Finn will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM until service time at 6:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to assist with the funeral expenses. These can be made by coming into the office or calling.
The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one. "Serving you as we would like to be served."
