Jerry Eugene Hammock

Mr. Jerry Hammock, age 72, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Portland, TN. He was born March 1, 1953 to the late James Edward Hammock and Vangielyn Graves Scruggs in Gallatin, TN. 

Jerry was retired from Imperial Fabricating. He was a very talented welder and tree trimer, a hard working man. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, brother and a good friend to all, He would do anything he could to help others.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Dave) Clayton; grandchildren, DJ (Tony) Garrett and Josh (Chelsey) Clayton; his great-grandchildren, Sage and Skylar Garrett and Andrew and Wyatt Clayton; several sisters and one brother along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Dillard Hammock; his son, Terry Hammock; his granddaughter, Brooke Clayton and his sister, Sandy Haycraft.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Woodard Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Bro. BJ Barns will say a few words and have prayer at 7:00 PM.
