Joel Scott Brown

Mr. Joel Scott Brown , age 49, of Westmoreland passed away Friday, July 15, 2016. Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be conducted: Monday, July 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM from Woodard Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Rippy Cemetery. Visitation will be: Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, July 18, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown served 8 years in the United States Navy as a Diesel Engine Technician. He was saved as a young boy at Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Lebanon and attended Buffalo Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the American Legion in Portland TN.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his:
Parents - Harry McKinley Brown, Sr. & Gracie Ann Dillehay Brown,
Aunts and Uncles - Edith & Paul Hammock, and Grady & Ernest Wainscott.

He is survived by his:
Daughter - Deserae Brown & Fiance' Daniel Birdwell, Lafayette, TN,
Grand Child - Kylie Brown Birdwell,
Brother - Kenny Brown, Westmoreland, TN,
Niece - Shaina Brown Blevins & (Todd), Portland, TN,
Nephew - Kelly Brown, Gallatin, TN,
Cousin - Ricky Wainscott, Chattanooga, TN,
Great-Nephews - Tahj Jent and Kole Brown,
along with a host of family and friends.
