Rev. Johnny Carver

Rev. Johnny H. Carver, 75, of Westmoreland TN died at. 11:30 pm, Friday, May 5, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.  

The Allen County native was an anointed minister and evangelist for 48 Years pastoring 5 Churches, Union Hill General Baptist in Macon County, Clifton General Baptist, Beech Grove  General Baptist, both in Allen County Ky, New Hope Church, Westmoreland and Impact COGOP in Portland TN. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel and received his Doctorate of Theology from Emmanuel Theological Seminary and was a Bishop with the Tennessee Church of God of Prophecy. He was the son of the late John P and Audrey Carver.  

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Janetta Carver; two sons: Jonathan (Michelle) Carver of Port au Prince Haiti, Trevor (Leslie) Carver of Scottsville; one daughter, Lyndy (Anthony) Thompson of Bethpage, TN; seven grandchildren: Sasha (Phillip) Griffin, Caleb Carver, Cullen Carver, Kerby Carver, Camden Carver, Kerlandy Carver, McClain Thompson; and three great-grandsons.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, Barry Carver.             

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Woodard Funeral Home. Funeral services for Rev. Johnny Carver will be conducted on Tuesday, May 9 at 11 AM from New Hope Church with Bro. Leon Graves and Bro. Jonathan Carver officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, May 8 from 1 - 8 PM at New Hope Church and on Tuesday May 9 from 9 AM - service time at 11 AM at New Hope Church. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Alive Hospice.
