Junior L Perry, age 84, of Adolphus, KY, passed away on November 1, 2022. He was born September 7, 1938 in Sumner County, TN to the late Walter and Clara Mandrell Perry.
He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a professional painter and enjoyed his work. He loved playing his guitar and singing songs. One of his favorite songs to sing was "Long Black Train". He wrote songs as well and had one album produced. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His favorite thing to say was "It's a rough life".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Reed, Ruth Harris, and Mary Borne; brother, Bobby Perry.
He is survived by his two children, Kimberly Sue Perry (Rick) Pierce and David Lee (Lidia) Sons; his sister, Erma Wright; his brother, Gerald Perry; as well as 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Perry will be conducted on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11AM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Cole and Bro. Mike Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the Rippy Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, November 3rd at 1PM - 8PM and again on Friday, November 4th from 9AM-service time at 11AM at Woodard Funeral Home.
