In Loving Memory of Karen Sue Boyette
May 2, 1944 - June 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Gran, Karen Sue Boyette (Bunker). She peacefully entered into glory on June 3rd, 2025, at home, surrounded by the warmth and love of her cherished family.
Born on May 2, 1944, in Beloit, WI, Karen embraced life with a joyful spirit and an adventurous heart. Her remarkable 55-year career as a dedicated nurse exemplified her enduring compassion and commitment to helping others. Beyond her profession, she thrived in her passions, including her involvement with the Red Hat Society, where she inspired countless women to embrace life fully and joyously. She was also deeply devoted to her home church, Central Christian in Beloit, WI, where she and her husband were founding members and became pillars of their community. Her greatest joy came from serving others, dedicating countless hours to free meal drives for those in need and ministering to anyone seeking support, all while relying on Christ in everything she did. Karen had an undeniable love for sweet treats, a knack for finding treasures at estate sales, and an immense heart for animals of all shapes and sizes. She was truly one of a kind.
She is preceded in death by her one true love, Clarence Larry Boyette, 2 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law and a niece and nephew. We find solace in knowing they are reunited once again in heaven. She leaves behind her beloved children, Dena Lawler and Duane Boyette (Kristina), along with her adoring grandchildren: Kahlea (Jerry) Fuson, Kenzee Bass, Tully Lawler, Darby Lawler, and Laydan-Kyler Lawler. Her great-grandchildren, Leland, Bodie, Harper, and Milo, and a host of extended loving family will forever carry her memory in their hearts, cherishing the love and laughter she shared with them.
A celebration of Karen's life will take place on June 13th from 2 PM to 8 PM at Westmoreland Macon Bank & Trust. We invite all who knew her to join us in honoring her remarkable legacy and the joy she brought to our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you bring a letter or share your favorite memory of Karen, allowing us to celebrate the love and laughter she shared with all of us.
Karen will be profoundly missed but will never be forgotten. Her spirit and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
