Michael Ray Reed

Michael Ray Reed, age 70, of Bethpage, TN, entered into eternal life on February 15th, 2023.  He was born October 30th, 1952.

Mike was a loving husband, daddy, Pa, son and brother. He was an avid sports fan and spent his early years playing football and basketball for Westmoreland High School. He continued his love of sports by coaching pee wee basketball and t-ball for the community. He was a supervisor for Texas Boot Factory in Lebanon, TN for many years and was a great provider for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Danita "Petie" Reed; as well as his children, Travis Reed, Adam Reed, Casey (Bryan) Hauskins, and Cami (Jason) Key; Grandchildren, Mitchell (Bree) Hauskins, Trent Hauskins, Mason Reed, Allison Reed, and Allen Perry; Great grandchildren, Riley Hauskins, Rhett Hauskins, Jace Hauskins and Oaklynn Eakle. 

Also survived by his parents, Jesse and Betty Reed; as well as his siblings, Martha (Gary) Hammock, Barbara Troutt, Joe (Shannon) Reed, and Chris (Tim) Harper; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Twain Reed; and maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Minnie Smith; paternal grandparents, Jesse and Clara Reed. 

He was saved by the grace of our Lord on the 3rd Sunday in August 1971 at Buffalo Springs Missionary Baptist Church and became a member of the church thereafter.

Funeral services for Mr. Reed will be conducted on Sunday, February 19 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Spurgeon officiating.  Interment to follow in Bradley Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00.
