Sammy Huntsman, age 77, of Lafayette, TN, (formerly of Westmoreland) passed away on March 5, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1946 in Westmoreland, TN to the late Clarence "Kitty" Huntsman and Eunice Cannon Huntsman.
Sammy was saved as a young boy at New Hope Church. He was a member of Providence General Baptist Church. He was a mechanic by trade and loved dancing and fishing. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Precision Casting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shon Huntsman; his wives, Ann Kendall Huntsman, Jane Crook Huntsman and Janice Harville Huntsman; his grandparents, Rev. R.T. (Emily) Huntsman and John (Lily) Cannon; and his sister, Patsy (W.G.) Gulley.
Mr. Huntsman is survived by his sons, Stacy (Cindy) Huntsman and Tim (Cindy) Huntsman; his brother, Bruce Huntsman (Peggy Cothron); his sister, Dorothy (Allen) Atmore; his step-daughters, Christie (Chris) Steel and Melissa (Joe) Wright; his grandchildren, Dustin Huntsman, Josh Partin, Jake Partin (Kaitlyn Simpson), Zach (Haley) Hansen, Brandon Huntsman, Stephanie Huntsman, Cierra (Cody) Brooks, Josh Huntsman, and Shonna Huntsman; his special nephew, Chris Gulley; as well as his special cousin from Indiana, Faye Reid.
Funeral services for Mr. Huntsman will be conducted on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 12PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Lionel Borders officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 1PM till 8PM, Friday from 9AM till 8PM and again on Saturday 9AM till service time at 12PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that you make donations to the funeral expenses at Woodard Funeral Home.
The family have entrusted Woodard Funeral Home, Westmoreland, TN, with the arrangements of their loved one.
