Sophia Raine Ballinger

Sophia Raine Ballinger, age 11, of Portland, TN, passed away October 5, 2025. She was born January 6, 2014 to Derrick Ballinger and Kisha Hammock in Hendersonville, TN.

She is preceded in death by her father, Derrick Ballinger; paternal great-grandfather, Bill Ballinger; her maternal great-grandfather, Kenneth Perry; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Barbara Hammock; her great-uncle, Darrell Hammock; and her great aunts, Cathy Hammock and Denise Hammock.

She is survived by her mother, Kisha Hammock; her brother, Rayden Ballinger; her grandparents, Pamela Perry, Billy (Sara) Hammock, Matt (Erin) Ballinger; her great-grandparents, Diane Ballinger and Anita Perry; her aunts and uncles, Destiny (Brandon) Hammock, Jayden Hammock, and Devlin, Logan and Will Ballinger; her great-aunts and great-uncles, Tony (Stephanie) Ballinger, Tony Hammock, Tina (Faron) Troutt, Timmy (Lisa) Hammock, Randy Hammock, Darlene Wilson and Nelson Perry; her special cousins, Alexis, Bentley, Jaxson Brewer and many more; as well as a host of extended family.

The funeral services for Sophia will be conducted on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 at 2PM from Providence General Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Brown and Russell Carter officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, October 12th from 3PM till 8PM at Providence Church, Monday, October 13th from 2PM till 8PM at Providence Church and on Tuesday, October 14th from 12PM till service time at 2PM at Providence Church.
