Obituary

Ms. Opal I. Graves, age 90, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services for Ms. Graves will be conducted on Thursday, February 25th at 1PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Rippy Cemetery.  Brother Jerry Peace will be officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jamie Porter, Kris Schuttes, Dwight Griggs, David Jolly, Kenny Summers and Michael Gorham.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Casteel.  

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, February 24th from 2PM-8PM and again on Thursday, February 25th from 9AM - service time at 1PM at Woodard FH.

The family request that everyone wear a mask.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Mrs. Opal is survived by her children, Larry (Linda) Graves of Westmoreland, Peggy (Ricky) Porter of Gallatin and Brenda (Kenny) Gorham also of Gallatin; 7 grandchildren, Samuel Graves, Stacey Summers, Kristy Walden, Jamie Porter, Carrie Schutter, Amy Griggs and Sarah Jolly; 2 step-grandchildren, Paula Fulcher and Missy Beasley; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren; and 2 great- great grandchildren.
She  is preceded in death by  parents, Mitchell and Carrie Casteel; husband, her baby sister, Gail Casteel; Gilbert Graves; grandson, Samuel Graves; brothers, Doug Casteel and Thurman Casteel; and sister, Sandra Elkins.
