Ms. Shirley East, age 85 of Gallatin, TN, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Funeral Services for Ms. East will be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM from Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Cowan officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Cotten, Matthew Carter, David Cotten, Johnathon Cotten, Donald Cotten and Troy Cotten.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Woodard Funeral Home.

Ms. East was retired from Metro Nashville Public Library as the Librarian after many years of service.

Parents - Robert Newton and Ruth Gentry Patterson
Husband - Donald Cotten
Grandson - Dylan Carter
Great-Grandchildren - Alex Cotten and Nicholas Cotten

Ms. East is survived by:
Son - Richard S. & (Vicky L.) Cotten
Daughter - Kimbery & (Jim) Carter
Grandchildren - Steven & (Janie) Cotten, David & (Chrissy) Cotten, Johnathon & (Rachel) Cotten, Donald Cotten and Matthew Carter
As well as 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
